All work and no play?

Fewer workers are leaving their offices at five o’clock these days.

In fact, average-length workdays have been disappearing for most North American employees over the past five years, according to a new poll by Right Management.

It finds as many as 67% of staffers in Canada and the U.S. are spending “a great deal more” hours at work compared to 2008. This is partially due to skills shortages in some sectors, as well as more demanding deadlines and projects.
