Canada to re-introduce investor visa

Budget 2014 cancelled Canada’s investor visa.

Officials allegedly axed the visa partially due to the “flouting of residency rules by [Chinese] mainlanders,” Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander told South China Morning Post.

However, the door’s still open to Chinese investors, Alexander added during the interview. In fact, officials are now developing a stricter visa program that’s expected to launch later this year. Read more here.
