Dynamic launches premium yield fund

Dynamic Funds has introduced a premium yield fund.

The product offers alternative income and diversification, says the company, when used in traditional portfolios.

The fund writes put options on equity securities to collect premiums, and invests directly in equity securities and/or writing call options on those securities.

The fund is managed by Oscar Belaiche and John Harris, both of Dynamic’s equity income team. Damian Hoang is the senior derivatives strategist.

“This fund’s approach to using options strategies—which combines fundamental, quantitative, technical, and volatility analysis—can [help] meet…clients’ needs,” says Jordy Chilcott, president and CEO of GCIC Ltd.
