Emerging markets make credit rating gains

While advanced western economies’ credit ratings have taken it on the chin in recent years, emerging markets have enjoyed steady upgrades, reports the Financial Times.

“Although emerging markets are still far from breaking into the exclusive – but shrinking – club of “triple A” rated nations, the changes are creating alternative opportunities for investors looking for higher returns without necessarily increased risk,” the report explains.
