Fewer travelers come to Canada

Travel to Canada fell 3.9% in November 2014, compared with October, notes Statistics Canada.

The decrease was largely the result of fewer U.S. travellers to Canada. In fact, travel by American residents to Canada declined 4.7%, to 1.7 million trips.

And the results are the same for Canadian residents, who made 4.3 million trips to the U.S., down 1%.

Meanwhile, those traveling from overseas countries to Canada also decreased 1.1% in November, to 444,000 trips. However, trips by Canadians to overseas countries increased 1.7%.
