First Asset launches ETF, National Bank makes fund changes

First Asset Investment Management has launched First Asset U.S. TrendLeaders Index ETF, which begins trading today on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol SID.

The ETF is designed to replicate, to the extent possible, the performance of the CIBC U.S. TrendLeaders Index, net of expenses.

Fund changes

National Bank Investments (NBI) reports that National Bank Trust will replace Fidelity Investments Canada as portfolio manager of National Bank Global Diversified Equity Fund, on or about September 1, 2017.

The change aligns with the governance process of NBI’s open architecture structure, says the firm. The fund’s investment objective is unchanged.

Also, as of September 1, 2017, the fund’s name will change to NBI Global Diversified Equity Fund.
