Don Reed, president and CEO at Franklin Templeton Investments, will retire on January 31, 2017. He joined the firm in 1989.

Duane Green, managing director, Canada, has been heading Franklin Templeton’s Canadian distribution business since October 2015. He will assume the additional titles of president and CEO when Reed retires.

Reed’s portfolio management responsibilities will be transitioned to long-tenured, Canada-based Templeton Global Equity Group portfolio managers.
