Goldman employee fired for expenses

A former back office employee at Goldman-Sachs signed a waiver of consent with a U.S. regulator over allegations she used a corporate credit card for personal expenses.

While she did eventually pay the expenses off, she was accused of signing her manager’s signature on receipts. Many investment companies permit use of company cards for personal expenses, so long as they are listed as such and the company is reimbursed.

Whether this case is more unusual than that of the broker who used proceeds from promissory note sales to buy a weed whacker is one we’ll leave up to you.
