Investors Group adds new fund, class

Investors Group has added a new fund and class to its product lineup.

The two offerings are the Investors U.S Dividend Registered Fund and the Allegro Income Balanced Portfolio Class.

This new balanced fund is available to residents of Canada through certain types of registered plans, such as RRSPs and RRIFs. It invests primarily in a combination of U.S. dividend-paying equity securities and other types of income-producing investments. Also, due to an exemption from U.S. withholding tax, no U.S. tax will be charged on dividends and other U.S. source income received by the fund.

This new class aims to provide fixed income diversification by investing primarily in underlying funds that provide equity and fixed income exposure.
