Mackenzie Financial Corporation proposes changes to investment objectives of three of its funds.

The firm is seeking investor approval to allow Symmetry Equity Class, Symmetry Fixed Income Class and Symmetry Registered Fixed Income Fund to invest primarily in securities of other mutual funds. This, it says, will allow portfolio managers greater flexibility to manage the risk-return profile of the funds.

If approved, the changes are expected to be effective on renewal of the Mackenzie Funds simplified prospectus in early October.
