Manulife sees drop in Q1 earnings, boosts dividend

Manulife has reported net income of $723 million in the first quarter of 2015, compared with $818 million in the same period last year.

The company also announced a 10% dividend increase, bringing the total dividend increase to 31% over the last 12 months.

Manulife noted integration of Standard Life’s Canadian-based operations is going well and it generated strong group benefits sales growth driven by improved competitive positioning.

Manulife had $821 billion in assets under management, its 26th consecutive quarter of record AUM.
