One in four CRA callers get wrong advice: report

CBC reports that, according to an internal CRA survey, “one of every four business callers who ask for tax help from the [CRA]’s call centres gets bad information.”

CBC adds, “The dismal finding is worse than previous estimates by the agency.”

CRA conducted the survey, notes CBC, by having 11 agency employees phone call centres and ask routine questions. Overall, the accuracy rate of call centres was 75%, compared to 92.5% in 2013-2014. Read more.
