OSC orders more than $1M in penalties

The OSC handed down more than $1 million in total penalties to two Canadian men this week, reports CBC.

It adds the men, Sandy Winick and Gregory Curry, broke Ontario securities laws and, along with the penalties, have been permanently banned from securities trading, as well as from being investment dealers, fund managers, directors and corporate officers.

Both Winick and Curry are facing U.S. criminal charges based on international penny-stock fraud allegations. Read more.
