Calgary-based accounting firm Rahal Warren & Chugh has announced it will merge with MNP LLP, one of Canada’s largest chartered accounting and consulting firms, effective September 1, 2011.

Since opening its doors in 1988, Rahal Warren & Chugh have provided a range of accounting and taxation services to privately owned companies, many of whom operate in the residential construction industry.

“We are very excited about joining MNP,” said Peter Warren, partner with Rahal Warren & Chugh, which opened in 1988. “MNP serves numerous industries and specialty groups and understands the markets in which our clients operate. By joining MNP, we can ensure we are delivering enhanced services to our client base, which is largely composed of privately owned businesses with a focus in the residential construction industry. Together, we have the bench strength to offer specialized solutions tailored to our clients’ individual needs.”

MNP currently has more than 200 construction and trades clients in Calgary, and is active in various associations, including the Canadian Homebuilders Association – Calgary Region.

“We very pleased about having Rahal Warren & Chugh join our Calgary team,” said Daryl Ritchie, CEO with MNP. “Operating in Calgary for more than two decades, they bring a wealth of experience and more resources to complement our team.”

Rahal Warren & Chugh partners Peter Warren and Suresh Chugh will join MNP’s Calgary location, along with six additional members of their team.
