Well, tell them about Scotiabank’s summer of free movies tour. The bank is encouraging Canadian families to spend some time outdoors by offering screenings of classic movies in themed venues.

It’s next stop will be a ranch in Alberta, for example, where the bank plans to screen Maverick on July 24, 2013.

The tour will also visit:

  • Little Lake Park in Midland, ON on July 31 (summer vacations theme)
  • Victoria, BC on August 7 (romance theme)
  • Saskatoon, SK on August 14 (baseball theme)
  • Lloydminster, AB on August 21 (time travel theme)
  • Winnipeg, MB on August 28 (haunted tales theme)
  • Toronto, ON on September 18 (campus classics theme)

If the tour is coming to a stop near you, you can also help choose the movie being screened. Vote for your top choice via Facebook.
