SEC investigating options trades on BlackBerry

Last month Reuters reported on claims of a possible Samsung buyout of BlackBerry. Just before that story ran, there was a spike in BlackBerry options trading. The SEC is now investigating, according to Reuters.

The U.S. regulator is looking into “whether a source of information provided to Reuters bought Blackberry options, according to [a] person familiar with the investigation.”
