Sun Life names leader of individual investments, insurance

Brigitte Parent, currently senior vice president, client solutions at Sun Life Financial Canada, will become the senior vice president of individual insurance and investments for Canada, effective July 1, 2012.

Having joined Sun Life in 1995, Parent has experience as a senior leader for both the global and Canadian business. She’s worked in the industry for more than 25 years.

One of her primary objectives is to connect aging clients with advisors to help them successfully plan for retirement.

Parent succeeds Kevin Strain, who’s been appointed president of Sun Life’s Asian operations. She’ll be responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of insurance and wealth management products.
