CI Investments has announced that Robert Swanson has joined its Cambridge Advisors investment team as portfolio manager. Swanson is best known for his prior role at Fidelity, where he managed several funds with a total of $20 billion in assets.

In his new role at Cambridge, he will work with chief investment officer Alan Radlo and portfolio manager Brandon Snow. Both Snow and Radlo worked with Swanson at Fidelity’s office in Boston.

“Bob is an accomplished investment professional and a high-calibre addition to an outstanding portfolio management team,” said Derek J. Green, CI president. “The Cambridge managers possess exceptional talent and experience and have delivered strong results. We are pleased to offer Canadian investors this high level of investment expertise through the Cambridge family of funds.”

Cambridge Advisors was founded in January 2008 under the direction of Radlo. The firm is a division of CI and manages over $2 billion in assets.
