Wanted: Better SEC trial witnesses

Over the past six months, the Securities and Exchanges Commission has suffered “a string of trial defeats” due to weak witness testimonies, reports Reuters.

As many as four trials have been compromised, it adds, since witnesses brought in by SEC litigators failed to deliver statements that convinced presiding judges and juries, according to court transcripts, rulings and interviews with defense lawyers. Read more.
