What’s driving strong M&A activity?

Canadian M&A activity surged in the first nine months of this year, reports Reuters.

Such activity reached its highest level since the financial crisis, Reuters notes, and was “buoyed by several big-ticket deals across a range of sectors.”

Thomson Reuters data reveals that “M&A deal value jumped 17% to $209.7 billion in the period, up from $178.9 billion from a year ago.” Read more.
