Philip is Executive Director, Manager Research, Total Investment Solutions with a focus on public securities strategies, which includes traditional long only, liquid alternatives and hedge funds. He originally joined CIBC in May 2012 as Senior Analyst, Global Equities and has over 20 years of industry experience.

Prior to joining CIBC, Philip was a Senior Fund Analyst with Morningstar Canada and before that, he worked for a pension fund and a large financial institution, both based in Toronto. Philip also previously served as the Chair of the Canadian Investment Funds Standards Committee.

Philip holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in the Economics Specialist Program from the University of Toronto. He is also a CFA Charterholder and holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
