AMF announces 2026 fee hikes

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has announced a series of fee hikes for the year ahead.

On Thursday, the regulator set out its revised fees for the coming year, with fees levied for certain activities — such as filing prospectuses — under securities, derivatives and insurance legislation are rising by 2.05%.

At the same time, fees that are charged under the legislation that governs the distribution of financial products and services, and the legislation for voluntary retirement savings plans, will be increased by 2.4% — in line with the annual rate of consumer inflation at Sept. 30.

The AMF noted that these kinds of levies aren’t subject to the cap that limits the indexation of certain government fees.

The new fees will take effect Jan. 1, 2026.
